Cooplaf was created from the mobilization of a group constituted by about 40 milk producers from settlements in the municipality of Terenos, whose objective was to improve milk quality and productivity on their properties.

Currently, it is made up of family farmers from Terenos and neighboring municipalities, whose properties range from 7 to 30 hectares. It has 548 members, 80% of which produce milk and 20% produce vegetables.
