The Cooplaf Leite Project was conceived by the BioSistêmico Institute with the main objective of promoting the development of dairy farming with the cooperative members of the Mixed Agricultural Cooperative of Livestock, Dairy and Family Farming (Cooplaf), an entity headquartered in the municipality of Terenos, in Mato Grosso do Sul state.

Executed by the BioSistêmico Institute, the Cooplaf Leite Project is supported by resources from the Zoetis Foundation and the Brazilian Support Service for Micro and Small Enterprises (Sebrae) in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. It also receives institutional and academic support from Unimar – University of Marília.

In the Project, the promotion of dairy farming takes place through a set of activities and resources of technological assistance, structured and modulated for the development and adaptation of the production process, in order to improve milk quality and productivity.

​

The achievement of the objectives is materialized with the satellite actions that are developed around five strategic axes that interact and integrate the links of the milk production process. These actions aim at the sustainability of the activity and the continuity of the actions carried out by Cooplaf, its technical staff and cooperative producers.

Service Methodology

In the Cooplaf Leite Project, consultancy to properties is developed based on structured assistance for work groups made up of modules of 20 producers. Assistance is scheduled for 100 producers in total, with the development of individual and collective activities over 24 months.

The activities are carried out on the properties, in accordance with a pre-approved schedule adjusted by the parties involved. The services are oriented in accordance with the verified needs and according to the objectives to be achieved in each property.

​

The assistance provided by the Cooplaf Leite Project is carried out by a multidisciplinary team of consultants from the BioSistêmico Institute, formed by administrators, agronomists, veterinarians and zootechnicians.
