IBS starts second round of reproductive management in the Cooplaf Leite Project

The second round of assistance in reproductive management of the Cooplaf Leite Project is underway in the settlements in the Terenos-MS region. The Instituto BioSistêmico (IBS) team started visiting the dairy farms on 05/16 and will continue until the end of this month.

Reproductive management services are provided by the Mobile Rufião, a unit equipped with an ultrasound device and instruments for carrying out an FTAI protocol. In this second round, the pregnancy diagnosis will show the result of the inseminations carried out in the previous round.

Through ultrasound examination, veterinarians also verify the reproductive status of the herd, identify reproductive pathologies and select cows that have adequate ovarian activity for performing an FTAI protocol, which will be inseminated later.
